distinct odorcaravan odor
i booked a caravan for a few nights. upon arrival, the caravan had a distinct odor. flies were everywhere inside it. i also found hair all over the place. it didn't feel clean, so i avoided using the plates and cutlery.

Lovely Caravan Getaway!

The caravan offered a fine view from the main lounge window! Inside, there was generous space and comfortable beds. Parking was very convenient, right next to the door of our caravan. The heating system worked rapidly, I also found ample space to dry damp equipment after my hikes.

i thoroughly enjoyed my time here! the caravan was clean, and the beds provided amazing comfort. fresh milk, tea, and coffee awaited me upon arrival, such a sweet welcome! i especially appreciated the clear communication, i always knew who to contact if i needed anything.
the lack of phone signal in the area was a slight inconvenience.

the site enjoys proximity to eskdale green, santon bridge, nether wasdale, and wasdale head. walks are accessible right from the front door, showcasing the beauty of the area. holmrook service station is also nearby, providing everything one might need.

the grounds are very well maintained. accommodation options include camping and hook-ups for camper vans, so you can choose what suits you best. there is also a green area with goals that the kids loved.

the bridge inn santon and the bower house inn eskdale green are nearby options. both offer excellent dining experiences, should you choose to eat out. these restaurants are highly recommended after a day of exploring.

Wonderful Cabin Stay

The cabin was super clean. It was also well equipped. Sandy and Bruce gave a nice welcome when we arrived. The cabin felt very warm and comfortable and it also had a well equipped kitchen. The lounge included a TV. The beds are super. We visited Keswick and Wastwater, which has fine views. The Spar shop is well stocked.
The lack of phone signal worried me a little. I was concerned about any emergencies.

The location allows quiet enjoyment. It offers close proximity to Drigg Beach. Ravensglass steam train is nearby too. Irton Pike provides fabulous views.

The cabins are large. Each includes a large terrace. The panoramic view is really lovely. The site is very quiet. There are horses and ponies in the back field.

The staff are friendly. They were also accommodating. A fresh milk bottle was ready on our arrival. The owners live on site. They are always available.

The caravan had an unpleasant smell upon arrival. I found hair around the caravan, so it did not feel clean. There was also no phone signal.
